Do I need a VISA?

For Dutch nationality:

Costa rica: VISA REQUIREMENT: none, LENGTH OF STAY: maximum of 180 days

All adults and children require the following documents to enter Costa Rica:

  • A current valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of one day from the day you enter Costa Rica.
  • A return ticket to exit Costa Rica (either to return to your country or to go to another country) You may enter Costa Rica without visa for a maximum stay of up to 90 days.

Panama: LENGTH OF STAY: maximum of 90 days

Visa requirements:

  • Holding Dutch passport that is valid for six months beyond the period of the intended stay in Panama.
  • Proof of onward travel (departure) from Panama.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. Regular travel insurance is often not sufficient for longer stays and does not cover your liability for any work. In collaboration with Joho, On-Stage offers the ISIS extra option, the emergency medical costs that are not reimbursed by your health insurance are reimbursed by the Special ISIS. Furthermore, your luggage, legal liability during your internship activities (except for internships in healthcare), accidents and return to the Netherlands in case of family circumstances are also well covered with this insurance. What vaccinations do I need?

Highly recommended! Consult with your doctor. To see what vaccionations you may need. Vaccionations also depend on what country you're going to.

Are internships paid?

This depends on the company and the position. Keep in mind that a work permit is required for paid internships.

When should I apply for an internship?

We recommend applying 2–3 months in advance to ensure sufficient time.
